Drummer Ben Ofori was Bethany’s guest musician Sunday, June 25. A native of Ghana, he presented several arrangements using drums and other percussion instruments during the worship service. He even enlisted the participation of several church members in playing rhythm instruments with him!
In honor of his appearance, the church was decorated with fabrics and artifacts from Africa. Rev. Jesse Larson, in his sermon, spoke of his own days as a Presbyterian mission volunteer in Africa. Elder Jim Guida, himself a veteran of travels to Tanzania, also brought his African art and fabric to display.
