Bethany is again organizing its Hot Cocoa Ministry, a service benefiting the SSIP Food Closet. This year, we have been asked to provide morning beverages and treats for the dozens of volunteers who will be helping distribute turkeys and Thanksgiving groceries on Saturday, November 20, in the Bethany parking lot.
Your help is needed to prepare cocoa, coffee and tea … slice bread … put cookies on plates … pour beverages … and assist with other hospitality tasks.
Show up at 7 a.m. Saturday, November 20, in the church kitchen with your mask. Plastic gloves will be provided.
Helpers of all ages will be welcomed!
You can also come to the church kitchen and help bake cookies and banana bread on Friday, November 19, from 9 a.m.-12 noon.
Questions? See Jackie Sneed or Cathy Sapunor at church. Or e-mail Cathy directly.
Can’t help? You can donate a package of napkins or paper hot cups, a container of instant cocoa mix or a pound of coffee! Let Cathy or Jackie know if you need a donation to be picked up.
