Church Pentecost Sunday Picnic

Bethany’s church picnic returned after a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The weather was gloomy so the picnic festivities moved indoors, and the three dozen-plus attendees enjoyed delicious hamburgers, veggie burgers and hot dogs with salads and home-made desserts. Special thanks go to Bruce and Cindy Alei for handling shopping and organizing the event, and to Howard and Dolores McMackin for their help with serving. Jim Guida, Mark Strack and Ron Carlsen took care of set-up. And Nan Luong Carlsen was the hero of the day for single-handedly barbequing the burgers and hot dogs at her home when the church BBQ broke down! Many thanks to all who made this special day fun and memorable.
