Bethany Presbyterian Women invite interested people to come for monthly Bible study and fellowship at 10 a.m. on the third Tuesday of every month. Meet in Fisherman’s House (the building behind the church). All are welcome, whether or not they are church members!
Anne Lamott’s celebrated book Traveling Mercies will be read and discussed in Bethany’s fall study, held Wednesdays at 6 p.m. October 2, 9 and 16. Come for a free light supper and talk about the inspiration and challenges posed by this book! Presented by Bethany’s Spiritual Formation Commission.
Join us for a brief meditative service presented by The Gathering each “third Sunday” at 5:30 p.m. in the Bethany sanctuary. The service—called “Evensong”—offers a special time for reflection and worship to prepare for the week ahead. Everyone is invited to the Social Hall after the service for refreshments and fellowship.
Rev. Judy Davis, director of The Gathering, leads a free “writing your life story” workshop on second and fourth Thursday mornings at Bethany. Through group discussions, writing exercises and individual reflection, we will remember the stories of our lives and discover our spiritual journey. No cost to attend, and ALL are welcome. Bring your own writing materials (paper, pen/pencil, laptop … however you like to write). No RSVP required! Meet in the church library 10-11:30 a.m.
