Aug. 12 is Re-Dedication of Crawford Memorial at Zephyr Point

Bethany members and friends will gather Saturday, August 12, at 2:45 p.m., to re-dedicate the newly refurbished Crawford Memorial at Zephyr Point Presbyterian Conference Center. The monument, a deck that overlooks beautiful Lake Tahoe, was originally constructed by Bethany youth group members and parents in 1981 in memory of two youth group members—John and Joe Crawford—and their father, Michael, whose lives were lost in an automobile accident. A Bethany-led work team made repairs to the deck in 2002, and a complete overhaul was performed by Bethany volunteers with Zephyr Point staff throughout 2015-17. A new Facebook page has been launched to help commemorate the Crawford Memorial and help sustain its legacy. A reception will take place at Tallac Center following the brief re-dedication service August 12. For details, or for a parking pass if you would like to attend the service, text or call Cathy Betts Sapunor at (916) 832-3373.
